Of course you love your pet you want to make provisions for them if something should happen to prevent you from looking after them.
Clearly the first port of call would be to ask a relative or friend to take care of them. Naturally you need to run the idea passed them first, and then let everyone important in your life know your plan. You can add a note to your Will, but of course your Will may not be read for many days after you die, so you can't rely on that - your poor pet will need help from day one.
If you don't have a friend or relative who would be able to take in your beloved pet, then you need to look to a professional organisation for help.
Fortunately in the UK there is a fabulous scheme run by the RSPCA
