I just got sassed by my cockatiel Peppercorn when I told her it was bedtime. She made some 'sqwerk' sounds at me and didn't move to her usual spot like she generally does when I told her it was bedtime and went to cover their cage for the night. lol
She HAS been extra sassy lately. :squidcute:
Her sister just did her usual thing and stuck her tail up in the air. (no idea why she does this) I don't think she has gotten what 'night night' and bedtime mean yet I'm not sure.

Massive shout out to Wedgewood Veterinary Pharmacy.
In the middle of a big move, so we had to get our cat's meds sent to our new location. USPS insists it was delivered, but when we arrived... nothing.
Called Wedgewood for a refill. They replaced the meds at no charge, then expedited the compounding and shipped it UPS Next Day Air for free.
Completely awesome.

We got her from a rescue. Unfortunately, while she was there, she caught calicivirus, which led to stomatitis. Her body thought her teeth were invaders. She couldn't eat because of the pain
The vet said they needed to remove all her teeth - but don't worry, cats don't need teeth

In the end, they removed all but the canines - and she has been fine. She eats happily now. And she eats a lot
So I guess cats don't really need teeth

So the big game is over with, and we get to exercise America's real favorite pastime: talking about the commercials! Well there was one commercial I think we should talk about, since it focused on reuniting lost pets with their families. The problem with that lovely facade is the privacy nightmare that enables those reunions. Spoiler alert: even as a dog owner I don't think the tradeoff is worth it.
