Rescue Update (Last 24 Hours)
16 cats rescued from heavily bombed areas
16 cats safely reunited with their families
12 families assisted with their displaced cats
Between yesterday and today, our rescue teams entered heavily bombed areas to retrieve animals left behind during evacuations.
Many families had only minutes to leave their homes. Some were able to bring their pets with them. Others had no choice but to flee without them.
These animals were left trapped inside homes without food, water, or a way to escape.
Our team is fully mobilized.
We are receiving rescue requests every hour, assessing each case based on urgency and security risks, and entering affected areas whenever possible to save the animals left behind.
How Animals Lebanon is helping:
Rescuing animals trapped in affected and high-risk areas
Helping injured animals from war zones and providing urgent care
Providing food and supplies for displaced pets
Providing boarding cages so cats can stay safely with their guardians in shelters
Providing travel crates for families fleeing with their animals
Entering war zones when possible to retrieve animals left behind
This is what war looks like for pets:
Trapped in empty homes.
Terrified by explosions.
Waiting for someone to come back.
We are doing everything we can.
But we urgently need funding to continue these rescue operations for supplies, equipment, transport, and to keep our rescue teams on the ground.
