An acquaintance of ours from the local house rabbit community took her life this week. We weren't close, but we entrusted her with the care of our fragile on many occasions and always felt that they were in capable and caring hands. We never knew of the struggles she was facing, and I don't know if anything could have been different if we had, but she and her bunnies are in our hearts.
We miss you Rosie.

Yesterday a big dog (40-45 kg) attacked my last dog Ellie, it slipped its leash and got her by the back.
She is fine, no wounds, nothing broken, she was just furious. She is a real fighter! 10 kg vs 40 is no matter for her.
But I stood there and thought that I was about to lose both of my dogs just during one week.
The owner apologised and apologised, and she was more shaken than I was.
Then I came home and took out the big treats, the ones that were Juliettes, they were always too big for Ellie and nobody here was ever going to eat them.
I brought them over and gave them to that woman for her REALLY BIG dog.
I don't know why, I just felt that I had to do it, and I hope that he (or she, I didn't ask) likes them.
