The first spring chickens of the year. These little cuties are Black Australorpes. They seem to love the brooder plate which is a new method for me, I always used the heat lamp before but I like the safety and less electrical usage with this. The extra reinforcement is against the house cats (this is the dining room). Apparently, according to my 3 yr old grand little, the chicks need Brown Bunny for friendship.
